Who invented Ethereum

A lot has changed in the cryptocurrency industry with the emergence of Ethereum. Society got not only a means of payment, but also a platform for smart contracts. Who invented Ethereum? The creator of Ethereum is Vitalik Buterin. This person developed and implemented a new platform that combines the function of a cryptocurrency and an online platform. The first Ethereum coins appeared on July 30, 2015, but the idea in the programmer’s head came much earlier.

The platform earned the attention of ordinary users and large corporations from the very beginning. The former used Ether as an exchange asset and a tool for savings, while the latter used it as a platform for creating “smart” contracts. Below we will consider who the creator of Ethereum cryptocurrency Vitalik Buterin is and what his biography is like.

Vitalik Buterin – the beginning of the path

Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin was born on January 31, 1994. The place of his birth is a small town of Kolomna, located in close proximity to Moscow. Vitaly “mastered” his first computer when he was four years old, and it became the favorite toy of the future creator of Ethereum. Interestingly, the baby was interested not in computer games, but in filling out Excel macros. In 2000, the family moved to Canada (to the city of Toronto).

The creator of the Ethereum cryptocurrency showed a special interest in mathematics at an early age. At the age of 6, he could easily name the twenty characters that go in the number “Pi” after the decimal point, and after another year – he created a new world using Excel. The child used a complex structure that included formulas and graphical representations of information. Subsequently, his interest in the exact sciences only grew stronger. In the 3rd grade, Vitaly easily operated with 3-digit numbers without using a calculator. Against this background, parents and teachers decided to transfer the future creator of the Ethereum platform to a special class with talented students.

At the age of 10, Vitaly learned “C++” and began creating games on the PC. The path to developing a new virtual coin began in 2011. That’s when the 15-year-old learned about the new cryptocurrency Bitcoin, which was only gaining popularity. After his first study of BTC, Vitaly was not too flattered about the new development. He could not understand how a virtual currency based on blockchain could be valued by the community or even have a price. Over time, the future creator of Ethereum’s opinion about the cryptocurrency changed. He carefully studied the structure of the new money, peculiarities of its operation and even wrote several articles with analytical analysis of Bitcoin.
